News — March For Science

Thanks again to the March For Science members, from whom I crowd-sourced many of my Scientists March For Science designs! I'm getting tons of great input on which branches of science to work up, and what tool/symbol would be most representative of that field. (Marshalltown trowel — who knew?!?) Another crowd-sourced design from March For Science members! I got input on what tool would be most representative of geology. (I'd never heard of a Brunton compass. What a cool-looking tool — wish I could've worked that in!) The general consensus was a rock hammer and I even got input on which way it should be held! And, in the process I learned that geologists are prone to terrible puns (altho there may be a couple of it-shirt ideas there!) and that they are very fond of beer!  Rock on, geologists! I am pleased to announce that my meme for the March for Science has been officially approved by their site administrators, so please feel free to download and share! This is my first crowd-sourced design! Brian Nguyen originally posted a sketch of the idea. Several people noted that the transformer symbol should have a different number of coils on each side, and that the words "Resistors" and "Transformers" should be bigger. Thanks to the March For Science Facebook page members for their excellent input!
